Forest Vegetation Simulator
The Forest Vegetation Simulator (FVS) has many applications. It can be used for forecasting forest growth, tracking forest structure (and key habitat markers), comparing management alternatives, and calculating forest carbon baselines and additionality in North American forests. Running FVS simulations to support your project is our keystone service. We work with landowners, consulting foresters, land managers and others whose impact increases with a firm understanding of future forest conditions and the affect of their actions. About TP
My name is Tom Perry (TP is an old nickname that happened to stick), and running a small forest-focused consultancy has been a dream of mine for many years. I am an SAF Certified Forester, and have been in the forestry profession for over 20 years. I have worked in forests across the US, from the Acadian forest of Maine to the California Redwoods and the mountains of Montana. My experience is diverse, combining boots on the ground experience with data driven analysis and research. I am proficient in silviculture, planning, reforestation, forest product markets and supply chains. My goals are to assist landowners and organizations with complex forest management topics. I want to put my skill-set to work for you, be it advancing your management planning, engaging with forest carbon markets, simulating forest development and increasing the resilience of North America's forests.
